Emergency helper in battle | Henry II, Egon |

Before God’s Throne stands an angel who is truly a protector, an emergency helper! Under the large, wide cloak that identifies him as an angel of Mary, he carries a long sword and his shiny breastplate bears the name Maria. The narrow, simple circlet in his brown curls – much simpler than those worn by the other angels in the Choir of Princes – points to a Silent Prince.
He is the Angel of readiness as a servant:
Saint Manuel.
The angels from the VI Choir (of Princes) are appointed to administer creation. The High Princes have the administration of the great worlds around the earth, but they also administer ideal kingdoms on earth: peace, consolation, the long-suffering of God, defence, etc. And finally, even animals, stones and plants (see their healing properties) are placed under their care.
The Sealed Princes will only receive their full power when their seals are loosened. As their bearers are serious fighters, they will then be adapted to the apocalyptic end times of course. Now, however – tamed and sealed in the order of God – they administer inner-earthly, material entities such as metals, elements and building materials of the earth… but also night and day, and the seasons. In their midst stands the Prince of Grace, entrusted with completely different tasks, like a blossom among dark fruits.
The Princes of inferior power are also known as the Silent Princes, for they serve in secret, here and there. They look after continents and countries, dioceses and abbeys. They are known as the Guardian Angels of the Holy Church. They have the greatest power of intercession and serve in a truly princely degree. They rarely call themselves by name, however, because they want to serve in secret. They are always known by their task first.
Saint Manuel is an angel of readiness in the truest sense of the word, for he stands wherever the Holy Church itself, or the orders of the Holy Church, stand in danger… wherever God’s children are in danger. And if one does not tie his hands by thinking of everything else but God, but asks God for help, he draws his sword and safely and calmly staves off attacks and assaults from the demonic underworld, as calmly as a servant working for his master. This is why Saint Manuel is also one of the 14 Heavenly Helpers – the ninth – who should be called upon in the event of sudden danger, distress or ambushes, at night-time, on unsafe paths and all insidious attacks, including thunderstorms, hail and avalanches. He is one of the four strongest angels in this part of the Choir.
Prayer: Saint Manuel, heavenly helper in need and danger, help us pull through and protect us in body and soul from all harm in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, in the Name of the Precious Blood and in the Name of the Immaculate, Most Pure Virgin Mary! Amen.
