Power of the law |

Saint Neomeniel
is one of the twenty-four angels of High Power. It is said of them: They carry the will of God as structure and order and in all its power. They are inviolable and incorruptible. Their face is directed only towards the will of God. From the love of God’s Face they draw the strength of their power and the ability to stoop to the deepest depths of humanity.
Let us see the bridge from this angel, who bears the laws of God and of the Holy Church, to the text of the Mass of this day:
“As your name, Lord, so also your glory reaches to the ends of the earth; full of righteousness is your justice,” and, “Grant us in your goodness always such a disposition that we may think and do what is right, so we shall be able to live according to your will,” for if you live according to the flesh (lust and sin), you will die; but if by the Spirit (your will to God, your obedience) you put to death the works of the flesh, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God; and if children, then heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ.”
