Power of God’s patience

Saint Geosed, the Corner Pillar of High Power, carries down the omnipotence, power and patience of God from above and raises up the faith, fortitude and humility of God’s people from below. “God Who maketh men of one mind to dwell in a house: He shall give power and strength to His people” we pray in the Introit of this day, and: “Almighty and everlasting God, Who in the abundance of Thy kindness art wont to go beyond our merits and our prayers.” We pray the Credo, and the Holy Apostle Paul once again hammers into the Corinthians the basic truths of faith, “wherein you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast after what manner I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain.”

God wants us to become rock like Peter, full of steadfastness and faithfulness, so that the Church of Christ may carry on unchanged from one generation to the next, and the last faithful ones may conform themselves to the first Christians in their whole being… as one clasp to another clasp… as one people, one flock, one shepherd.
