V. ChoirMonday of the 2nd Week in Lent
“Departure for God”

Saint Ketherim, a Power, and the first of the Seven Brothers of the Soul, has very watchful eyes… scout eyes, eagle eyes. When the Lord points in love to a soul that He wants to draw to Himself, but which is still entangled with the world like a field full of dense bushes whose roots intertwine closely, the angel does not rest until he has found a “weak spot” somewhere, and suddenly a boulder of God’s call falls there on the unprepared field and pierces the tough root network and tears a deep wound in the ground. This can be, for example, the death of a loved one that changes one’s life; it can be a fiery sermon that deeply stirs; it can be the glimpse of a stranded person, or of a holy one. A sudden call from God deep inside the heart makes the soul cry out: “My God, what do you want from me?” “You,” says the Lord, “It is you I want! Let go of the way you have been on until now. You are from below. I am from above. I want to draw you to Me. You shall follow Me. Your reward is heaven for eternity.”
