Like a shining cross, seven angels stand before God’s Throne today. They are full of the light of the Spirit, the power of the Son and the majesty of the Father. They are thus threefold: turned towards the Father, the Son, and the Spirit, and yet as one, carrying one task. They are:

The Angels of Mission.

Three of them carry the mission of the Father in particular; three carry the mission of the Son in particular, and one, a seraph, carries the mission of the Spirit.

The angels of the Father’s mission form, as it were, the crossbeam of this luminous cross. They come from the fourth choir of the Dominions and they are angels of love. They are bound, however, and they are corner pillars of the Sealed Dominions. The mission of the Father: “Increase and multiply!” is thereby still throttled on their shoulders:

is bound so that this Word of the Father can only flow creatively into life through the measure and order of love;

Saint Saddim

is bound so that the wisdom of love may always keep this word a secret, subject to the care of God;

Saint Thumim

is bound as a sign that mankind may submit to the power of Divine Love and that disobedience, impulse and vindictiveness may not increase on earth.

The angels of the Son’s mission are like the longitudinal shaft of this great cross, like a sword that descends from the heights of heaven to the depths. They bear the word of the Son: Follow Me!, each angel in the effect appropriate to his choir:

Saint Vehujah

from the ranks of the Cherubim, one of the Four Living Beings, carrying the Word of God from the mouth of the holy apostle John. He forms, as it were, the hilt of the sword that the Triune God holds in His hands, Who says through the Son: “I have not come to bring peace, but the sword,” for “he who is not with Me is against Me.”

Saint Jochaanael

from the choir of Powers, carries the mission as a call that echoes far and wide: “You shall hear Him who has come into the world as light, but the darkness has not understood Him.”

Saint Hajim

takes up this word “Come and follow Me!” as the following of the cross in the space of the Holy Church as a mission; he knocks on people’s hearts with the power of the love of the Divine Heart.

The seraph, however, who can be recognised in the intersection of the two luminous beams, literally above the cross of the mission and moving it, carries the power of the mission of the Spirit. This angel, however, is personal to each mission. It is always a seraph who emanates from the Father and the Son as the bearer of the mission of the Spirit, as here:

Saint Elohim

is to be called here, the bearer of the power of God. Together with St Jesu, the Seraph of the Son, and Saint Anaritha, the Seraph of the Spirit, he forms a seraph through whom the Spirit speaks the word of the mission to the Father and the Son and appoints Mary, the mediator of grace, as the protector and administrator of the mission.

Prayer: Holy, Strong, Immortal God! Thine is the creation and the life of us all. Awaken us, O Lord, through Thine angels and give us the strength to follow Thy mission wherever it calls us and whenever Thou willest! Amen.
